The slot sector has a new leader. According to the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distribution (Fenabrave), Hyundai HB20 It sold 9,760 new cars in June 2024, and as a result, it surpassed Volkswagen Polo (9,683), now ranked second in this sector.
However, the South Korean model's excellent performance during that period was not enough to dethrone its German rival from the top of the table in the year so far. Between January and June, Volkswagen Polo has already registered 57,862 registrations compared to 42,696 registrations for HB20.
The third place among the best-selling portals in Brazil in June 2024 was Chevrolet OnixWhich recorded 8,852 registrations. With this performance, the General Motors model was able to remain in second place at the end of the first half of the year, with accumulated sales of 43,603 cars.

Dolphin Mini out of top 10
The bottom of the ranking of the top 10 best-selling hatchbacks in Brazil presented an interesting change with respect to the May list: the BYD Dolphin Mini left the top 10 and made way for its “brother”, Dolphinthe only electric car in the group.
