We’ve all experienced this: wanting to visit a website, stream a movie or even play a game online, discovering that your systems are down, and that you’ll have to wait for the issue to be resolved.
NS a tool It then compiled the sites that recorded the most breaks over the past year, in the USA and UK. Data was collected from the downdetector.com website, analyzing the number of monthly outages over the past 12 months at each site (up to June 25, 2021). The three most common problems were also analyzed, with the process being repeated in the US and UK for comparison between the two countries.
As expected, the lists feature a number of sites from the world of social networking, entertainment, banking and of course gaming, with Xbox, PSN and Steam making their presence felt in both lists.
For US data, Xbox Live ranked sixth, with 63 service downtimes over the course of the year. In contrast, PSN is ranked ninth, with 49 counties. Much higher than both Steam, in second place, with 99 breaks. You can see the full table below:
For British data, Xbox Live is again higher than PSN (in seventh and ninth places, respectively, 102 Xbox crashes against 90 on PlayStation); In contrast, Steam ranked fourth, with 177 service outages. You can see the UK schedule below:
