Instagram now allows users to reply to comments on their reels with new reels. See how the feature works.
Instagram has added another feature that appears to have been picked straight from TikTok. This includes the ability to add a video as a response to a comment. The feature is similar to TikTok’s ability to respond to videos with videos. The feature is currently, however, limited to feedback on reels only.
“We are excited to launch Reels Visual Replies, a new feature to engage your audience. Now you can respond to comments with a video and the comment will appear as a sticker,” Instagram said in a tweet to announce the feature.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new feature.
What are Instagram visual responses?
Instagram’s new visual commenting feature allows a user to reply to comments on their video reels with another video. This new feature will appear as a sticker in response to comments.
Who can use the new feature?
Only users who post reels will be able to reply to comments with new reels. Other viewers can only comment in plain text. Therefore, users will not be able to respond to reels comments using their own reels unless the original video has been uploaded by them.
How does Responding to Visual Moments work?
When the user who uploaded a video opens the comments section, they will be able to reply to comments with text as well as new videos. Users can record new reels to respond or simply upload an existing video, which can be old reels.
