The The UK has recently begun testing a new work model adopted in some countries, which includes four working days per week instead of five.
More than 30 companies will test the model “in a bold new way in 2022,” say researchers quoted in The Sun newspaper.
According to a new study, 78% of employees on a four-day-a-week schedule are happier and less stressed.
This model will be tested over the next six months to see if workers are still maintaining 100% productivity at 80% of the time.
Even if there is less than one working day per week, the salary will be full.
In Portugal, Antonio Costa proposed a similar working model – a proposal that the PS undertakes to consider in certain areas of the electoral process – which it considers “a necessary discussion in Portuguese society”.
