A Welsh man, UK, is the first person in the world to treat COVID-19 with a preventive vaccination. For seven months, Ian Lister, 37, lived with the virus in his body. Even, in treatment with two doses of the immunomodulator from Pfizer, the girls got a negative result for the virus.

Lister suffers from Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome (WAS), which causes a rare genetic immune deficiency. Once he contracted COVID-19 in the work environment, the virus remained in his body for several months.
“Although most people were able to stop self-isolating ten days after contracting the virus, I was the exception to the rule. Months went by, and it felt like the age when you couldn’t go anywhere or see friends or family.”
He also said the symptoms get worse the longer the virus remains in the body. This included extreme tiredness, lack of sleep, headache and chest tightness. Every positive test made me feel more frustrated and anxious.”
The girls were accompanied by specialists from the Center for Immunodeficiency in Wales, located at Cardiff University, where doctors proposed the vaccine as a way to treat the patient from the disease.
So Ian received two doses of the Pfizer vaccine over a 21-day period. 72 days after the first vaccination, the result of COVID-19 from the gallbladder was negative.
According to Professor Stephen Jules, clinical leader of the Center for Immunodeficiency Wales, the immune system causes an increase in the production of T cells, which are responsible for producing an immune response against the virus and antibodies.
Moreover, scientist Mark Bonsford, also from Cardiff University, indicated that Lester’s body was tolerant to the Pfizer vaccine. “Ian’s response to conventional vaccines in the past has been very limited.”
