Only Chinese media have praised the Brazilian economy

A Radar +55 310 poll analyzed at least 310 news about the Brazilian economy in 8 countries: Argentina, Germany, Mexico, the United States, China, the United Kingdom, France and Chile.

According to the study, only Chinese state media had more positive than negative news when it came to the Brazilian economy.

There were 61% of positive signals for Brazil. In second place is the media in Argentina, with 41% of positive signals.

The list comes after the United States and Chile (both at 25%), the United Kingdom (23%), France (9%), Mexico (8%) and Germany (0%).

Most of the negative news refers to the way the country deals with controlling public spending, the environment and inflation.

At least 62% of the news reports that the Brazilian economy is deteriorating.

The result contrasts with optimism and GDP revisions here, bolstering the risks of contaminating Brazil with a slowdown in the Chinese and US economies.

The study cited inflation as the topic that received the most negative coverage.

Changes in leadership at Petrobras and the decline in purchasing power are among the most general topics covered by the international press.
