James, King Charles III was officially proclaimed Sovereign of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in a ceremony at St. James’s Palace in London today, Saturday (10). Outside the palace, to the beat of trumpets, a crowd gathered to closely follow the coronation of the new British monarch, singing. God save the king (God save the king), for the first time in 70 years, its stanzas contain the word “rei” instead of “queen”.

On the other hand, gunshots were fired at Hyde Park and the Tower of London, two iconic places in the British capital, while the proclamation was being read.
