Spouses Tiago Leifert and Diana Garbin shared a very special family moment with their Instagram followers on Monday (13). The two journalists and the couple’s daughter, little Lua, visited a Catholic church to ask for a blessing for the girl who is battling eye cancer, which was diagnosed in the first few months of her life.

The lieutenant colonel’s wife published a family register in which everyone appeared with their backs turned to the altar at the bottom of the sacred image: “A day to receive the blessing of Our Lady of Caravaggio. Our Lady of Caravaggio, pray for us.”she wrote in the comment to the post in the feed.

Lua, who is only two years old, is facing retinoblastoma, a type of cancer that affects the eye area. Leifert and Diana announced the discovery of the disease in January of last year and since then the presenters have been dedicated to understanding the problem and spreading awareness about the importance of care and early diagnosis.

Earlier this year, Thiago used social media to let his followers know about the girl’s treatment: “The moon enters the 16th month of treatment today. Treating cancer in this way, it is long, difficult, and has ups and downs. Therefore, it is still without prediction, it will continue with treatment. It has a lot to do.”he said at the time.
