The United Kingdom Ambassador to Brazil, Stephanie Al-Khaq, visited the Raimunda da Silva Soares Vocational School in the Sao Cristoão neighborhood on Monday morning (24). The Cê Tá On project was launched in November 2022, with the aim of improving democratic access for citizens living in regions historically vulnerable to digital transformation and strengthening the right services, professional competence and entrepreneurial behavior of all people.
So far, more than 4,100 consultations have been conducted in telecenters participating in the program, and more than 1,300 people have already received workshops and trainings, in addition to support for courses in three priority axes: digital literacy, entrepreneurship and food. Security.

Among the courses promoted by Cê Tá On are several free online courses offered by PBH through Prodabel. Guided by project supervisors, more than 370 users of telecentres have already taken courses in different areas, namely: digital entrepreneurship; creating websites; environmental education; Introduction of new technologies; Web programming among others.
“Technology is increasingly essential to any business or profession that citizens choose. As the Ambassador said, unfortunately not everyone has full access yet, so it is our role as public authorities to create alternatives to guarantee both the access framework and digital and entrepreneurial education”, explains Jean Matos.
For Cê Tá participant Claudio Pereira, the knowledge and discoveries he gains in the program give him the strength to continue studying. “I didn’t have a chance to go to school, I started studying at the age of 40, but I dream and learn. Today, it is my greatest joy to have this open space and to be able to be here with you realizing that the favela is being watched”, he commented.
Starting next Saturday, PBH and its partners will launch a new phase of the Cê Tá On project, a series of six training days, programs, in each of the six operational areas of the project, free and face-to-face, with intensive activities on digital content, entrepreneurship and unemployment.
