The Sports Topics Forum held its second edition this week and brought together 13 municipalities in Valle do Rio Doce

Forte lists the sporting priorities of the Governador ValadaresThe Regional Council (DR) of Governador Valadares hosted, on 5/16 and 5/17, the second edition of the Sports Topics Forum (Forte). The event was coordinated by the Secretariat for Social Development of the State of Minas Gerais (Sedese-MG) and implemented by the Undersecretariat for Sports (Subesp) to contribute to the improvement of public sports policies in the state. The forum brought together representatives from the 13 municipalities of Valle do Rio Doce and sports activists.

ICMS sports, the state’s athletic incentives law, and the best generation and awarding of athletes and technicians were among the topics discussed during the first day’s schedule. The general policies presented by the headquarters are detailed by the Subesp staff so that the participants can learn more and use the benefits more assertively, for the benefit of the population.

Ana Caroline Valeriano, Sedese public policy analyst and Forte member, assessed the meeting as very fruitful. “Face-to-face meetings are much more effective in imparting knowledge to residents. When we visit Regionals, we realize that many participants are not aware of programs that could benefit them in the community in which they operate.”
On the second day, a proposal for ideas was implemented by the principals, who presented their local demands within the following topics: educational sports; Educational sports. Sports for social development, public health and sports for excellence. The aim of the dynamism was to develop, in the medium and long term, the planning of sports policies for the state, giving priority to the territory.

At the end of the presentations of each of the proposals, the three most voted are listed to compose the document that finished the DR Fort in Governador Valadares. are they:
1) The purchase of cars for the sports secretariats.
2) Create a network of state managers.
Third: Develop exclusive sports policies for women.
The rest will also be sent to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports, Antonio Eduardo Miranda, and to the Minister of Social Development, Elisabeth Juca.

Willian Vieira da Silva, Municipal Secretary for Sport, Culture, Tourism and Leisure of Capitão Andrade, defended the winning proposal on the importance of having a means of sports secretariat and endorsed the importance of regional meetings: “We need closer relations between the capital and the countryside. We discover our needs when we know what ails the cities” .
The fortress is the result of a partnership between Sedese-MG and the Regional Council for Physical Education of Region VI (CREF6-MG), and is supported by the Associação Mineira de Municípios (AMM). The next forum is scheduled to take place in June in the Republic of Sao Joao del Rey.
Women’s soccer
During Forte, Sedese began researching women’s soccer practice in Minas Gerais to support mapping current conditions and suggest new public policies for the area. Governador Valadares was the second Doctor to participate in the survey, which can be applied to other forum meetings. This action was planned in line with the National Strategy for Women’s Football, an initiative of the Ministry of Sports that stipulates the promotion of professional and amateur football in Brazil.
