A NASA satellite monitored the destruction of the Russian S-400 system in Crimea

NASA’s Fire Monitoring System, known as FIRMS, detected a strong heat spot at Cape Tarkhankut, Crimea, this morning. The explanation given for this stigma is the destruction of the Russian S-400 long-range anti-aircraft defense system.

The Fire Resource Management Information System (FIRMS) distributes active fire data in near real time (NRT) from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) aboard the Aqua and Terra satellites and the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Array (VIIRS) On board S-NPP and NOAA 20 (formally known as JPSS-1). Globally, this data is available within 3 hours of satellite observation.but for the United States and Canada, real-time active fire detections are available.

Photos posted online show footage of this destruction from a Ukrainian drone. Given the small number of these powerful systems, their loss will have negative effects on the Russian air defense in the region.
