In the first phase, which begins on September 5, the selected companies will undergo a period of preparation and orientation, in order to redesign their operations and ensure the conduct of the examinations.

The 4 Day Week Global proposal not only shortens the working day, but also aims to improve time management, automate processes, delegate tasks, and review priorities during routines.

How does a four day work week work?

In Brazil, the initiative has partnered with WeWork and Reconnect Happiness at Work. WeWork supports testing and new work formats. We believe that working relationships can only change when we test new paradigms. For us, the office plays a very important role in communication and needs a clear purpose. Talent seeks a balance “between flexibility and purpose, personal development and belonging.” says Felipe Rizzo, CEO of WeWork Brazil.

After the orientation period, companies will, starting in November, implement a four-day week during a six-month trial period. The global initiative focuses on implementing the 100-80-100 model: 100% of the salary, 80% of the working time, and 100% of the productivity.

Adaptation varies from company to company and this means that not always, the model leads to a reduction of work by one day, because in some cases a reduction in working hours is implemented, while maintaining the five days.

After the testing period, the results are analyzed and companies decide whether or not to continue with the model. In Australia, 95% of companies that passed the tests wanted to continue operating with a four-day week. in the United Kingdom, the rate is 92%; and in the United States, 67%.

“I believe we will take a very important step towards revolutionizing the world of work, enabling changes in the way we work, making our working hours more productive and at the same time healthier,” says Renata Rivetti, Founder of Reconnect Happiness. At work.
