This initiative, created by British artist Luke Jerram, arrives in Belo Horizonte on Thursday (19), where it kicks off at Mercado Novo, starting at 7:30 p.m. The project will be shown between November 22 and 12, in five locations in the capital, and one in Contagem, in the capital region.
Born in 2008, at the Fierce Festival, in Birmingham, UK, “Play me, I’m Yours” (original name of the project, in English) has toured 70 cities around the world, including New York, Shanghai and Mexico. city. In total, more than two thousand pianos were installed. The instruments have been played and heard by more than 20 million people.
At BH and Contagem, pianos will be available to professionals and amateurs at six points: at the bus station, in downtown Belo Horizonte; At the Merante do Museum, on Lake Pampulha; In Praça da Liberdade; At the Luxemburgo Hospital and at the São Gabriel and El Dorado metro stations.

At the end of the project, the musical instruments will be donated to the foundations Associação Querubins and Casa Sr. Tito, Casa de Apoyo Beatriz Ferraz, ECA – Space of Culture and Arts, Mano Down Institute and Mario Pena Institute.
