RIO – Silvia Abravanel, 52, was surprised when she said she was kicked out of the house when she was 16 by her stepmother, Iris Abravanel, Silvio Santos’ second wife. According to the daughter of the SBT owner, the coexistence between the two was not peaceful during her adolescence, which made the series’ creator call for her to “retire.”
“I was asked to leave as punishment. My mother thought I was in that annoying stage. I left because I had no other choice,” Silvia told Luciana Jimenez during the “Bagaceira Chique” program on YouTube.
“I have had many mothers in my life,” explained the presenter, who was adopted by Silvio and his first wife, Cedenia Abravanel, but who also considers Iris to be her mother.
After being evicted, Sylvia decided to never return to live in her parents’ house. “I went to live in my father’s office. A bedroom and a living room were set up for me. I lived with my carers. I took everything off, took off my clothes. Everything left the house. I was silly, very childish,” she recalls. She said: “I was sad. I stayed in bed for a month. Zelda raised me from the time I was 16 until today,” referring to an employee in her father’s office, who works with her to this day.
“Luana doesn’t metabolize lactose,” he finally said. “When we found out, it was very rare. My parents paid for soy milk, which was expensive. 25 years ago, the information we have today wouldn’t have existed.”
