Desenrola, the federal government's debt renegotiation program, was created in 2023 to ease the pockets of Brazilians, and more than R$35 billion of debt has already been renegotiated, benefiting about 11.5 million people.
Although it is a large number, this number of beneficiaries is still far from the target: 70 million people. The government decided to extend the deadline for debt renegotiation until March 31.
With reductions that can exceed 90% of the original value of the debt, experts see Desenrola as a good opportunity for people to try to solve their financial lives.
In this episode of the podcast Financial educationMarcela Gaiato Martins, Director of Recovery, talks about who can participate in Desenrola, whether it is worth joining the program, and gives tips on how to renegotiate debt in the best way.
