Xbox strikes a deal with the Assassin's Creed creator studio for a new game

Although it owns a chain of studios and has several projects in its release lineup, Xbox continues to look for new partners and opportunities to expand its catalog even further. It appears that the company may have reached an agreement with Panache Digital, the studio led by the creator of the Assassin's Creed series and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.

The rumor of Xbox's new deal with Panache Digital was uncovered by popular leaker “eXtas1s” on the eXputer forums. According to the source, eXputer has seen “graphic evidence” that Xbox has signed a deal with Montreal-based Panache Digital Games and its founder Patrice Désilets for a new project.

No additional details about this project have been shared, but “eXtas1s” mentions that the project will run on Unreal Engine 5, and according to a source, the project is targeting a release in 2026 or 2027. Of course, release windows are, more than ever, subject to change .

Founded in 2014, Panache Digital Games released Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey in 2019. It is not yet known if the new Xbox project is related to this Désilets project.

As always, all information should be treated as rumor until official announcements are made.
