A poll released by the Pew Research Lab showed that the percentage of voters who think President Joe Biden is “smart” has dropped from 46% in 2020 to 24% this year. The data was released on Thursday (11).

The organization interviewed registered voters in North America from July 1 to 7. In other words, the study was conducted after the debate between Biden and Donald Trump, which raised doubts about the president’s health and nervous state.

Regarding Trump, 58% of voters believe the former president is mentally healthy. In October 2020, the rate was 50%. See other research data below.

Biden's poor debate performance has led to pressure on the president to drop out of the race, with Democratic Party members, campaign supporters and donors calling on him to drop out of the race.

At a rally in Detroit on Friday (12), Biden said he was being “attacked” because of confusing names, and once again ruled out the possibility of abandoning his candidacy. The president said he needed to finish the work he started in the White House.

Biden also said he was in good health, and joked about his age. At 81, he said he looked 40.

A Pew Research Center poll shows Donald Trump has a numerical advantage in the race for the White House. The Republican is at 44% of voting intentions, compared to 40% for Biden. Robert Kennedy, the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, has 15%.

Moreover, according to the poll, 53% of voters want to replace both Trump and Biden as their parties' White House nominees.
