Bella Brave, a social media influencer with a rare disease who shared her daily routine on social media, has died at the age of 10. Bella’s mother, Kayla Thompson, released a statement saying her daughter died “peacefully in our arms” on Sunday (14).
Our brave little girl left her legacy here on earth to dance the streets of gold. Bella would like you to remember: God is love and be brave.
Bella's nickname (brave) came precisely because she showed courage (in English, bravery) throughout her battle, as her mother explained in one of the videos posted online.
Bella was born with three rare diseases: severe immunodeficiency, a genetic mutation that affects bone growth, and Hirschsprung's disease, which involves the absence of nerve cells in the large intestine. Because of the latter, Bella explained in a video: “I was always hungry, but I couldn't eat much.”
Bella has undergone over 30 surgeries throughout her life. The influencer, who has over 400,000 followers on social media, has shared her transplant journey and hospital routine with great courage and sweetness.
