Amazon announced on Monday (3rd) that Prime Day 2021 will be available to its subscribers in Brazil. This is the second time that the event – which gives users discounts on different types of products – has been held in Brazil and must precede Black Friday again.
So far, however, the US retail giant hasn’t confirmed a date for when shows for the event will be available, but said it should happen by the end of this quarter — well before it was held last year.
We’re excited about another Prime Day issue and look forward to offering our Prime members incredible discounts, investing in opportunities for our small business partners, and continuing to ensure the safety of our employees. We’ll be sharing more details soon and our customers can also say, “Alexa, update me on Prime Day” to stay informed.
As a reminder, Prime Day 2020 – the first edition of the event in Brazil – lasted for 48 hours and was held During the 13th and 14th of October. At the time, brands such as Microsoft, LG, Canon, Positivo, Philips, Nespresso, Samsonite and Electrolux were among the participants.
Amazon also highlights that during last year’s edition, the store was able to sell more products than on Black Friday. According to the company, in just the first 24 hours of Prime Day 2020, the retailer scored more sales than any other event.
According to the disclosure, the most requested items were the third-generation Echo Dots, the LG 24″ LED TV screen, Lysoform sanitizer, and the Positivo smart bulb.
The first edition of Prime Day was held in 2015 and the date was created by Amazon specifically for the period of such important offers as Black Friday. It’s important to note, however, that event promotions are exclusive to Amazon Prime subscribers.
