Globo Correspondent in Rio de Janeiro, Eric Rianelli used his social networks On Tuesday (15) to demand a boycott of a network of cafeterias in Brasilia after a businessman made anti-gay comments about a declaration of love made by the journalist to her husband Pedro Figueiredo, who is also an employee of the station.

“I received some reports of a businessman from Brasilia who dealt with homophobia on a video in which I declared love to my husband. Thanks for all the messages of support! Eric’s statement to Pedro was made on Valentine’s Day 2020, but this week the video was circulated in a WhatsApp group that includes some businessmen from Brasilia. Alexander Gilya, the owner of cafeterias in the federal capital, was alarmed by the declaration of homosexual passion.

“I say what I think and what I think. If I’m upset, I’m sorry, boy. I don’t think it’s necessary and it’s not necessary to show it on open TV, in newspapers, that sort of thing,” Gilly said in one recording: public figure”.

The problem is that the group’s conversation was leaked on social networks and got to know a Globo journalist – who in turn used his power of access to encourage all LGBTQ+ not to consume products from Alexandre Geleia’s cafeteria network.
