However, this reduced starting time is achieved when the model comes with a PDK eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and the good (and exciting) seven-speed manual transmission is also offered. Speaking of this group, the German brand says that the gearshift height has been shortened by 10 millimeters, ensuring a more sporty touch while changing gears.

Positioned as a model with sharper handling than the Carrera S but without losing its famous usability (one of the world-famous 911s), the new 911 GTS can be further improved in dynamics by receiving the lightweight package.) Additionally, the brakes are the same as the Turbo version, while the exhaust has a less restrictive system to ensure the soundtrack. The 911 Turbo-derived suspension adds additional springs at the rear for added rigidity, as the sports car keeps the PASM active suspension as standard, reducing the car’s ride height by 10 mm.

As on the 911 GTS, the look is a bit more aggressive due to the darker appearance of the version. They all have darkened headlights and DRL light bezels, as do the taillights and Porsche and GTS badges painted black on the back. The Targa version brings its classic black-painted “crown”, the same color also used for the pull-down spoiler and engine grille. Finally, the GTS logo also appears on the sides in the same colour.

Inside, the 911 GTS is practically the same as the other versions of the model. But it differs from the Alcantara interior lining (called by the Race-Tex brand), which is applied in the middle of the seats, steering wheel rim, door handles, armrests and on the gearshift lever. The GTS logo is embroidered on the seats and on the headrests. The optional cab package includes carbon fiber panels, as well as red or white versus black stitching for the interior trim.

Moreover, the media center is now also compatible with Android Auto via cable (previously supporting Apple CarPlay) and has an updated layout with larger icons, while the voice command can be activated when saying “Hey Porsche!”. The system also brings a more natural sound, making the interaction less automated.
