He was also head of reporting for news programs in the capital, São Paulo, between 2015 and 2017.
Horror with José Roberto Burnier
The turn of the year marks the beginning of recovery for 63-year-old José Roberto Burnier. The TV Globo presenter, who presents the programs SP 1 and SP 2, fell ill after working on New Year's Eve and was taken to hospital on the 29th of this month.
According to the Notícias da TV website, the journalist finished presenting the two news programs and felt pain in his chest. He was transferred to the emergency room at the Syrian-Lebanese Hospital, and upon his arrival, tests were conducted on him and it was found that there was a total blockage in the main artery of the heart.
Early in the morning, José Roberto Burnier underwent surgery to open an artery and place a stent.
Sources from the portal revealed that the announcer of the Marineo station said, in a conversation with his friends, that he felt relieved, and said that he suspected that he presented the two programs with a heart attack, due to the severity of the siege.
The broadcaster will be temporarily away from work and will be monitored by doctor Roberto Calil Filho. He submitted the two newspapers on December 27, 28 and 29. After feeling ill, the journalist was replaced by Ana Paula Campos on Saturday (12/30), but TV Globo explained the reason to viewers.
According to the page, José Roberto Burnier took over the position of SP 2 in April 2022, when the previous broadcaster, Carlos Tramontina, was fired. The journalist previously presented the Conexão program on GloboNews.
