Petit returned to the stage on Saturday evening (13), in Rio de Janeiro, after undergoing emergency surgery earlier this month. The 46-year-old singer was the star attraction on the fifth day of the Rio Winter Festival, performing in Marina da Gloria, while still recovering from surgery.

Without going into details about the operation she underwent earlier this month, the artist said she had adjusted her performance. “This is an unusual system that was set 45 minutes into the second half so that we could be here. Giving up was never an option,” she said.

After canceling three shows due to a 10-day layoff, Petty said he has a knack for flexibility. “I embrace and enjoy when life puts me in new places,” he told the audience. “I admit I was about to call for the movement to get this body back, but I think we’ll be able to do it together here today.”

During the show, the audience applauded her a lot and chanted: “Betty, I love you”. On social media, the singer also received respect from those who watched the broadcast on Canal Brasil and Globoplay.
