Residents of Asuncion, the capital of Paraguay and neighboring regions, were surprised by an earthquake that occurred on Wednesday night (30). Through social networks, netizens have reported tremors throughout the metropolitan area of ​​the city, but also in neighboring areas such as Villa Elisa, Capiata, San Lorenzo, Lampari and Nimbe.

Reports indicate that the tremor lasted only 3 seconds and was felt mainly by people in buildings. A seismological station in Uruguay confirmed the occurrence of a small-sized earthquake.

Indeed, the “World Earthquake Alert” platform has indicated that the earthquake will be of low intensity, between 4.0 and 4.9. So far, there is no confirmation of any accidents or casualties from the quake.
