National Communications Agency (AnatelGenerate a code to identify telemarketing service calls. The code used is 0303, which will appear at the beginning of any link intended to offer products or services.
The handle was approved by Anatel on Friday (10/12), under Law No. 10413 published today in the Official Gazette. The agency said the purpose of the standardization is to make it easier to identify telemarketing calls.
The deadline for implementing the rule is 90 days for mobile service providers and 180 days for fixed line operators.
Anatel explains that active telemarketing is the practice of providing products or services through telephone calls or messages, whether pre-recorded or not.
The code 0303 will be used exclusively and mandatory for active telemarketing activities, and fixed and mobile operators must allow this number to be clearly identified, on the screen of the user’s device.
In addition, according to Anatel, operators should make a precautionary blocking of calls arising from active telemarketing at the request of the consumer.
