Andretti Global today announced the opening of new facilities at Silverstone, marking this milestone as the “next stage” of preparing the chassis for its entry into Formula 1. Andretti announced in a statement that the “next stage” of his preparations to enter the Formula 1 World Championship will be “the opening of new facilities at Silverstone Park in the United Kingdom.” Together with Andretti Cadillac UK’s existing workforce of approximately 80 people, we are honored to open this new British home for the Andretti family today.”
The new building allows “activities to increase as the situation evolves,” ensures a North American structure, and “will house manufacturing facilities, including mold, prototyping and machinery shops, ADM, electronics, research and development, and additional office and meeting facilities.”

At the beginning of last March, Andretti Global shared updates on its future headquarters in Fishers, Indiana, USA, which will be the headquarters for all operations and is scheduled to open in 2025. The new UK space will co-operate with our flagship Andretti facility in Indiana and our Formula E facility in Banbury, will be a collaborative location for our family of racing teams.
While Andretti was still in Formula 1, he explained that until now, this project had been “split between operations in Silverstone, Indiana and at the GM Technology Center in North Carolina.” Moreover, he explained, “Preparations began some time ago, focusing on critical activities such as gathering key personnel and focusing on long-term activities including aerodynamic design, mechanical design and vehicle engine dynamics. The new facilities will be completed in phases, according to commercial, sporting and labor requirements.
The team also stressed that “work is continuing at an accelerated pace” and that the facilities announced today “are an expression of this work.” The statement ends by stating that while Andretti is “building a factory team in North America, having a European base is an excellent way to attract the best talent in Formula 1 and install the latest machinery.”
