Apple reveals the launch date of the cell phone. Look

The iPhone 16 will be presented to the public on September 9, starting at 2 p.m. Apple, on Monday (26), began sending out invitations to journalists to unveil the “It's Glowtime” event, which will showcase the details of the new cell phone. The presentation should be pre-recorded in Cupertino, California, and will be broadcast on the brand's official channels. The new iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are also expected to be launched, as well as the Apple Watch Series 10 and a new version of the Apple Watch Ultra.

According to the main rumors, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max could be larger than their predecessors. The Pro will be 6.3 inches, compared to 6.1 inches in the iPhone 15 Pro, while the Pro Max will be 6.9 inches, compared to 6.7 inches in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Figures vary between rumor sources, so it's hard to give an exact number. However, the rise of smartphones is almost certain.

The reason for this difference in information is probably the arrival of a very thin bezel on the iPhone 16 series, and the manufacturer intends to reduce the sides by “wrap the copper wires from the bottom to the top”, eliminating unnecessary margins. The reduction in frames will come through the adoption of Edge Reduction Structure technology, or BRS, for short.

iPhone 16 lineup rumors

At the end of August, the Apple Hub portal leaked supposed information about the models that are part of the iPhone 16 lineup, and among the main news is the arrival of Apple Intelligence, the American giant's artificial intelligence (AI), to mobile phones. In addition, the Pro options may have a titanium body, while the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus should be made of aluminum. A18 processors are also expected for the basic models, and A18 Pro processors for the more powerful ones.

New features in iPhone 16 cameras

Apple's next mobile phone line should also include a new dedicated camera button on all models. According to rumors, the shutter will be located at the bottom of the right side and will make it easier to reach with the index finger when the smartphone is horizontal to take photos and, mainly, to record videos more comfortably. These rumors gain strength when we notice the leak of the Apple Hub. Another possible new feature is the 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which will also come to the Pro version.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max still has a camera system, and it could come with new sensors, allowing for 10x optical zoom. The innovation would be possible thanks to the choice of the type of glass molded with a more advanced manufacturing process for the lenses. However, the information provided by the sites differs, as Apple Hub denies the news. According to the page, the next most powerful smartphone in the series should still have 5x optical zoom. If confirmed, the possible 10x range would exceed that of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which has 5x optical zoom.
