German striker Kai Havertz is very close to changing clubs in English football and has already agreed terms with Arsenal, one of Chelsea’s main rivals, his current club. According to the Athletic website, there is already an agreement between the clubs to transfer the 24-year-old player, and an official announcement is due soon.

Still based on information from the British press, Havertz’s departure from Chelsea to Arsenal would transfer around £65m (around R$397m at current exchange rates), with £60m (R$367m) to be fixed, in addition to another five million depending on the goals Havertz can achieve for Arsenal.

Since Chelsea did not qualify for continental competitions, Havertz’s exit from the club will also be important for the player to compete in the next edition of the Champions League. Arsenal played for the Premier League title this season, but ended up beating Manchester City and finishing second. The final place secured the team in the next UEFA Champions League.

Despite Chelsea’s poor season, Havertz performed positively. In all, there have been 47 appearances for Chelsea, having scored nine goals and contributing two assists. The player was referred to as a possible promotion to clubs outside the Premier League, but the trend is for him to remain within the elite of English football this time to defend Arsenal.

Havertz arrived at Chelsea in the 2020/21 season after gaining fame with Bayer Leverkusen. Since then, the player has established himself as a key player in Chelsea and an important part of the team. The player has won the Champions League and the Club World Cup since joining the England national team.
