With Matthews Nachtergell and Selton Melo in the memorable roles of Joao Grillo and Chico, the movie will soon continue – news that touched the hearts of the audience and, of course, the cast. In an interview with QueroCinema, Nachtergaele explains the decision to return to the story after more than 20 years.

O Auto da Compadecida is a landmark of national cinema, its characters, screenplays and dialogues remembered to this day, and it is perhaps one of the few works that has come close to the consensus of the Brazilian public regarding seeing and appreciating the value of the cinema produced by the country.
