In 2000, O Auto da Compadecida hit theaters becoming one of the most critically acclaimed Brazilian films of all time. With Matthews Nachtergell and Selton Melo in the memorable roles of Joao Grillo and Chico, the movie will soon continue – news that touched the hearts of the audience and, of course, the cast. In an interview with QueroCinema, Nachtergaele explains the decision to return to the story after more than 20 years.
