Dancer Michel da Costa Chaga, better known as Michele Mipo, 40, was found dead Monday night (7), at home, by her husband, Sergio Vieira, a firefighter. The dancer is considered one of the biggest names in São Paulo Samba.
According to Anna Farias, a close friend of the artist, she died of a heart attack. “Our people are Michele Mibeau dead, samba people. She arabized us, people… She had a heart attack. Guys, I talked to her yesterday… She had labyrinthitis and she said she was vomiting a lot and she was very skinny… My heart hurts people a lot. My heart is in mourning, my chest is empty without my soul sister here. It hurts so much to say goodbye my friend, but everything we shared warms my heart at the hour of pain,” she wrote in a Facebook post.
At the moment, the dancer was touring the Unidos dos Morros school, which regretted the early departure of the artist. “Grêmio Recreativo Cultural and Escola de Samba Unidos dos Morros announce the passing of Chapa Quente Battery’s godmother Michelle Mibow.
