Bradesco informed on Wednesday that she has every interest in the success of the judicial recovery of Americana, and that she has not spoken publicly against approving any plan. The bank issued a statement after news broke that the institution was allegedly excluded from the plan, something the retail chain was considering, according to the information.
“In light of the news published in recent days in various media, Bradesco makes clear that it has a full interest in the success of the judicial recovery of Americanas SA, and that it has never expressed itself against the approval of any judicial recovery plan for Americanas,” the bank says.
The bank remains at the negotiating table with other creditors. According to the sources, there is a disagreement between banks about how to deal with bank guarantees in this process. Bradesco is one of the banks that claims that this credit is non-competitive, meaning that it should not be treated within the scope of judicial recovery.
In the note, Bradesco It states that Americanas, officially, has not submitted any recovery plan for consideration at a meeting of creditors, “since the accounts of the said company have not yet been audited, approved and properly presented.”
