Celine Dion has had to postpone her European tour after being diagnosed with a terminal neurological disease.

The jueves (December 8) singer of ‘My Heart Will Go On’ posted a video with crying eyes on her Instagram page explaining that he has been diagnosed with catatonic personality syndrome, which according to her affects “all aspects of my daily life”.

“You know, I’ve always been an open book and I wasn’t ready to say anything before, but now I am,” Dion began, addressing directly to the camera.

“I’ve been dealing with health issues for a long time and it’s been very difficult for me to face these challenges and talk about everything I’ve been through.”

The 54-year-old explained that she was “recently” diagnosed with “a very rare neurological disorder called Stiff Person Syndrome, which affects about one in a million people.”

She continued, “Although we are still learning about this rare condition, we now know that this is the cause of all my cramps.”

Dion explained that the condition affects her ability to act and sing as well as carry out normal activities.

“Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes making it difficult for me to walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I used to,” she said, adding that it “hurts me.” to announce. that his tour would not resume in February.

The singer canceled eight of her summer 2023 shows and rescheduled her spring 2023 shows to 2024.

Dion’s team representative wanted to clarify that the entire European Tour had not been cancelled, but rather rescheduled to a later date.

“The tour has not been cancelled, but has been pushed back to 2024. All UK dates have been changed, but not cancelled,” the source said.

However, Dion assured fans that she has an “incredible team of doctors” working hard to help her get better, but admitted that it has been a “struggle”.

“The only thing I know is singing. I declare that this is what I have been doing all my life and it is what I love to do most.”

“I miss them so much. I always give 100% when I perform, but my condition does not allow me to give that now.”

The singer explained that she will focus on her health first so she can perform again and thanked her fans for their well wishes.
