Celso Portioli used social media on Tuesday morning (28) to announce that he would begin treatment with immunotherapy after discovering bladder cancer.
In a video of about five minutes long, the 54-year-old presenter said he detected the disease at an early stage during a routine test.
“I had bladder cancer which was found at the earliest possible stage on a routine examination. An endoscopic procedure was done to remove this tumor. Now, I will undergo intravesical treatment. An immunotherapy called BCG,” the presenter stated.
“I am an optimist and have a lot of faith because the chance of a cure is close to 100%. It has made me very relaxed and optimistic and I have a lot of faith that everything will be OK.”
Celso also mentioned that during the course of treatment, he will be able to lead a “completely normal life”.
