Crowded emergency centers and health units open their doors on Sunday in the capital.

Emergency rooms in the capital are still full. On Sunday morning, the Mocier Sclear emergency room registered 335%, the Bom Jesus emergency room 328% and the Cruzeiro do Sul emergency room 311%. Hospitals are restricted in service, with their capacity exceeding 248% at the Hospital de Clínicas, 214% at Santa Casa and 190% at São Lucas da PUC. The emergency room of Grupo Hospitalar Conceição (GHC) registered 114 patients.

The GHC Advisory Team points out that overcrowding in public hospital emergency rooms is a reality that affects all hospitals in the capital, especially in the winter period (June to September), when demand increases due to an increase in respiratory cases, which requires action in coordination with municipal and state managers who organize hospital treatment via SUS to address this systemic reality.

As a strategic measure of the Municipal Health Service (SMS) winter operation, eight health units were opened on Sunday. Until 7 p.m., the Assis Brasil, Beco do Adelar, Chácara da Fumaça, José Mauro Ceratti Lopes, Moab Caldas, São Karls, Modelo and Tristeza units are open, providing medical, nursing and vaccination services.

Vaccination can be carried out in Parque Farroupilha (Redenção), on the corner of Osvaldo Aranha and José Bonifácio avenues, until 6 p.m.
