The Municipal Health Department of Curitiba recorded, Wednesday (23), 803 new cases of the emerging coronavirus, and 21 deaths for the city’s residents infected with the new coronavirus. Ten of these deaths occurred in the past 48 hours.
The victims were nine men and 12 women, aged between 33 and 90. Eleven people were under the age of sixty. So far, 6,005 deaths from the disease have been recorded in the city during this period of the pandemic.

With the new confirmed cases, 234,928 Curitiba residents have tested positive for COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic, of whom 221,079 have been released from isolation and have not shown symptoms of the disease.
The city has 7,844 active cases, which corresponds to the number of people likely to transmit the virus.
SUS family
This Wednesday (23), the occupancy rate of 548 ICU SUS exclusive covid-19 beds was 91%. There are 51 free beds left.
The occupancy rate for the 746-bed SUS covid-19 suites is 79%. There are 160 vacant beds.
The SMS shows that data on household occupancy in Curitiba is dynamic, with changes occurring throughout the day.
