Judicial recovery
Dia Brasil filed a request for judicial relief last Thursday (21) with the aim of overcoming the current economic and financial crisis that the company is facing in the country.
According to data from Grupo Dia, the company's Brazilian branch ended 2023 with net sales of €728 million, representing a 12.4% decrease compared to the previous year.
“The application for judicial relief is limited exclusively to Dia Brasil and therefore does not affect the financial position of Spain and Argentina, where Grupo Dia has currently achieved a relevant position through a strategy focused on local food distribution,” the company notes. In the note.
The application was accepted by the First Judicial Bankruptcy and Recovery Court of São Paulo on Friday (22).
