Some places in Brazil, such as Rio Grande do Sul, Goiás, Tocantins, Amazonas and others, are witnessing again Dengue fever outbreak. A viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes, unfortunately, is well known by Brazilians. It’s not news, though, that cases of these infections tend to pop up, mostly, in times of warmer weather, like the ones we’re seeing now.

However, the Covid-19 pandemic, especially after the emergence of the Ômicron variant and the recent outbreak of influenza, has left the population somewhat confused. After all, some symptoms, such as fever and body aches, are common and frequent in all three types of the disease.

Therefore, we have collected the main symptoms of dengue fever, influenza and Covid-19. In this way, in case of infection, it will be possible to get a better idea of the problem faced by the organism. Always remember that malaise can be caused by other illnesses. Only a medical evaluation and appropriate testing can diagnose a potential health problem of this type.

The main symptoms of dengue fever

Normal

A rise in temperature with a sudden onset.
Headache.
Pain behind the eyes that gets worse with movement.
Loss of taste and appetite.
Vomiting and nausea.
Dizziness.

hemorrhagic

Severe and persistent pain in the abdomen.

The skin is pale, cool and hydrated.
Bleeding from the nose, mouth and gums.
Drowsiness, agitation and mental confusion.
Excessive thirst and dry mouth.
The pulse is fast and weak.
Breathing difficulty.
Unconsciousness.
Spots and a measles-like rash on the skin, especially on the chest and upper extremities.
Softness and pain in the body.
Lots of bone and joint pain.
