The post has been corrected by users. This is because the federal government has not provided any benefits to app drivers. The aid in question was, in fact, a donation of R$500 per driver – announced by Uber itself.
Last week, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi met with Lula at Palacio do Planalto. During the meeting, Khosrowshahi announced assistance of 500 Brazilian reals for 20,000 drivers, for a total of 10 million Brazilian reals, without participation from the federal government.
