On Monday (9), Embraer launched a new version of the Phenom 100 executive aircraft. The Phenom 100EX model was displayed in the city of Melbourne, located in the state of Florida, in the United States.
According to Embraer, the new plane is capable of flying at an altitude of 41,000 feet (12,497 meters) and is equipped with two engines. Range for four passengers is 1,178 nautical miles (2,182 km) and cruising speed is 406 knots.
According to the company, which is based in São José dos Campos (SP), the new aircraft offers more comfort and new improved flight features.
The new version of the plane uses sustainable materials, has tables for workspace, and features a fifth side seat and a bathroom take-off and landing seat, increasing passenger capacity.
Flight feature improvements include auto-scan radar with lightning and hail forecasting, stabilized approach and wind shear prevention, for example.
Embraer stated that full production of the new 2024 version has already been sold out and that next deliveries are available in 2025. The previous series, the Phenom 100, has more than 400 aircraft in operation since 2008 and is used by airlines and aviation fitness centers. Like the British Air Force, for example.
