Gold plated iPhone 13 Pro Max, cars, trucks, headphones, and even a laser wrinkle remover. These are just some of the items that will be auctioned in March by the Federal Revenue Service of Minas Gerais. There are 24 batches of products confiscated by the agency that will be sold at prices starting from R$500.00 to R$54,000.
The auction will be held in two stages. In the first phase, participants submit their proposals online, between 25 and 27 March. Proposals worth up to 10% less than the highest bid will be moved to the second stage, which will take place on March 28, also online. At this point, there is an open auction session and lots will always be sold to the highest bidder.
Michel Lopez, Federal Revenue Supervisor in Minas, explains that the items to be auctioned are in cities such as Juiz de Fora, Uberaba, Pocos de Caldas, Betim and Belo Horizonte. According to the agency representative, this is the first federal revenue auction in Minas Gerais in 2024.
“All of these products, by and large, are learned in federal revenue suppressions. And then these goods can be sent to public agencies or they can be auctioned off.”
