How to use streaming devices
Roku devices work when connected to an HDMI input, power source, and Wi-Fi, then find the app in the main menu, download and install Netflix.
The Chromecast device must be connected to an HDMI port and a power source, before adjusting the settings using the Google Home app on your cell phone. Next, connect to the same Wi-Fi network as the device, open the Netflix app on your cell phone and tap the cast icon, then select Chromecast.
In the case of Amazon Fire TV Stick, you need to connect it to the HDMI port on your TV, select a Wi-Fi network, and finally, download the Netflix app from the list.
It's important to note that not all of these devices are “gatonet,” so you'll have to pay for a subscription to the streaming services you want to watch.
What TVs will Netflix not be available on?
Netflix will no longer offer support for the app, starting July 24, on more than a dozen Sony TV models produced in 2014. The app will also no longer be available on second- and third-generation Apple TVs. The expected end date for Apple device support is July 31.
