In Altas Horas, the First Lady meets Bituca again. Touched by his presence, she recalled special moments in her life marked by the singer-songwriter’s songs.
Milton Nascimento ended his theatrical career in November 2022 at the age of 80. He gathered fans of all ages, in the crowded Mineirão, in Belo Horizonte, singing from his run and thrilling everyone who watched him live, in person and on TV.
In Altas Horas this Saturday (7), at least seven other artists must take part in the tribute to Pitoka: Duda Pete, Lineker, Maria Jado, Petit, Samuel Rosa, Sandy and Ze Ibarra. The latter had a strong presence on stage, along with Milton Nascimento, during the 2022 shows.
Speaking to Serginho and the audience, Ganja will remember a fact that happened in São Paulo, when she and her husband, President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (Workers’ Party) were watching the second round of elections. She said she delayed Lola’s departure from the hotel for a few minutes, on October 30, to allow her to meet with Milton Nascimento.
At the time of the program’s recording, according to information from Christina Badiglione, TV columnist for Folha de S.Paulo, Janja was being praised as she entered and left the studio. O Globo columnist Patrícia Kogu was also told by broadcaster Serginho Groysman that the participation of the president’s wife, Lula, “was sheer joy”. The First Lady informed at the time of taping that Ganga was on the show as a “fan” of Milton Nascimento.
