Globo recruits No Rancho Fundo newcomer to test her as the villain in Vale Tudo TV News

The epic search for the perfect actress to play Maria de Fátima in the new version of Vale Tudo has gained a new chapter. On air as the protagonist Quinota of No Rancho Fundo, Larissa Bocchino was called to audition to play the character immortalized by Gloria Pires in 1988.

The actress, who will remain on air until November in Globo's soap opera at six o'clock, has been tested alongside Taís Araujo, who will play Raquel, the mother of the villain in the new version of the story. In 2025, she can still be seen in the TV series Guerreiros do Sol, which will debut on Globoplay – and is already fully recorded.

So far, seven actresses have been tested for the role of Maria de Fátima in the new version that Globo will broadcast from March 2025. Even Teresa Fonseca, who plays the arrogant Mariana in Renascer, and Julia Buscascio, Sandra in the same series, have been tested to work on the plot that will replace Mania de Você.

The choice of the artist to bring the character to life is the most important thing for Globo's new remake and could determine the direction of the TV series at nine. The story, after all, unfolds from the first blow that the ambitious woman deals to her mother.

The villain is also linked to the main characters in the 1988 TV series, making Globo's task of casting an actress who would do justice to Gloria Pires' flawless performance even more complicated.

For all this, Globo is testing the actresses who appear on air, and they will have little time to rest before the arduous task of doing a job like this. The two actresses from Renascer will remain on air until September, while Larissa will only have a four-month break between the two series.

In addition to the two competitors from the series Bruno Lupiri and Quinota from The Sixth Hour Conspiracy, four other actresses were evaluated by artistic director Paolo Silvestrini: Bella Campos, Giulia D'Alavia, Valentina Herzag and the almost newcomer Leticia Vieira, the protagonist of the series Espécie Invasora, still unsurpassed.
