The vacancies are for physical education teachers, final undergraduate students and teachers working in sports practices
On Tuesday (23), the Government of São Paulo opened registration for the Paralympic Development Program in the Municipality of Indayatuba, an initiative of the State Secretariats for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Sports. There are 200 vacancies for physical education teachers from public and private networks, final-year undergraduate physical education students and teachers working in sports practices. The free project aims to promote popular Paralympic sports and will take place between June 13 and 16.
During the four days of the programme, students will have the opportunity to receive technical training, with theoretical and practical knowledge of the Paralympic sports of athletics, futsal, goalball, table tennis, swimming, boccia, cycling and sitting volleyball.
“The Paralympic Development Program presents sport as a way to integrate people with disabilities into society. When physical education professionals are willing to be part of this environment, they create a more accessible and inclusive environment for everyone,” highlighted the Parasports Coordinator at the Secretariat for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The social and cultural analyst at the Piracicaba Regional Sports Inspectorate of the State Secretariat of Sports, Silvio Lisboa Farguete, confirms that the project encourages Paralympic sports through regional mapping. “This initiative takes knowledge and enhances the development of teachers and professionals in the field of physical education, providing students with access to sports practices and social inclusion.”
The classes will be held at UNIMAX – Av.Nove de Outubro, n° 460, Jardim Pedroso – Indaiatuba/SP.

Paralympic Development Programme
The Partnership between State Secretariats for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Sport, the program created in 2021, promotes and encourages Paralympic sport through technical training for physical education teachers from public and private networks, undergraduate students in the final year of physical education and teachers working with sports practices.
More than 4,000 participants have already been trained in more than 48 stages held in the state of São Paulo. The project is currently in its third phase, has been expanded and will cover 28 cities.
