Finance Minister Fernando Haddad is expected to meet with the economic portfolio holders of the United States, the United Kingdom and Indonesia. The meetings will be held during the G20 meetings in Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to the meetings, the minister's agenda includes several coffee parties and lunches with international authorities. Haddad's participation in these meetings should focus on combating climate change and implementing discussions on taxing the wealthy.

The Minister is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen next Wednesday (24). The meeting should focus mainly on climate issues.

Haddad is expected to meet on Thursday (25) with British Finance Minister Rachel Reeves and Indonesian Finance Minister Sri Mulyani.

Reeves was appointed Chancellor of the Exchequer two weeks ago, following the Labour Party's victory in the UK.

In meeting with the Indonesian finance minister, the minister's goal should be to strengthen the trade partnership between Brazil and the Asian power.

In the first half of this year, Brazil's exports to Southeast Asia reached US$13.2 billion, representing a growth of 9.7% compared to the same period last year – when they totaled US$12 billion.
