Hospital de São Jerónimo limits visits and requires the use of masks

The emergency plan published by the São Jerónimo Regional Hospital, in the Carboniferous region, on Saturday (14/10), specifies the mandatory use of masks as well as the complete restriction of visits. These measures have been adopted by the Hospital Infection Control Service due to the increase in coronavirus cases.
Last Wednesday (11/10), Fiocruz issued an alert regarding an increase in Covid-19 cases in several states, including Rio Grande do Sul, and the entity also called on residents to update their vaccinations.

Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, the Hospital Infection Control Service updates the recommendations for the use of masks at the São Jerónimo Regional Hospital.

We will return to the mandatory use of masks when providing assistance (including patients and companions):
> N95 to assist suspected or confirmed patients;
> Other specialists use a disposable surgical mask (following the instructions for changing the mask if it is saturated or dirty…

– Total restriction of visits:
> Attendants must also use a surgical mask;
> Limit visits in the ICU to one family member 3 times a week
