Ian Gilder, the actor who played Kevan Lannister in Game of Thrones, has died at the age of 74. The announcement was made on Tuesday night (7) by Ben Daniels, the actor's husband, on social media. Gilder was diagnosed with cancer.
“It is with great sadness and a broken heart into a million pieces that I leave this post to announce the passing of my dear husband and life partner, Ian Gilder,” Daniels wrote.
“Ian was diagnosed with bile duct cancer in December and yesterday [segunda-feira, 6] “He died at 1:07 p.m., and I stopped everything to take care of him, but none of us had any idea that everything would happen so quickly.”
Gilder appeared in twelve episodes of Game of Thrones as Kevan Leinister, and participated in other productions such as “Doctor Who,” “Fifteen-Love,” and “His Dark Materials.”
He also participates in the second season of the series “Interview with the Vampire,” which will be shown in May in the United States of America, and in the second season of the series “The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power.”
