A new law signed by the governor Ibanes Rocha (MDB) expands the government’s health plan, GDF Saúde, for military police, firefighters, and staff of the DF Institute for Strategic Health Management (Iges-DF) and Hospital da Criánca de Brasilia José Alencar (HCB). Active and retired servants from the DF Legislative Chamber (CLDF) and DF Auditors Council (TCDF) will also be able to join the scheme.
GDF publishes a law that opens the way for Enas public tender
Civilian Police Servers Can Now Join the GDF Health Plan
The law published by the CLDF was approved and approved by the Buriti chief on Friday (3/6). The rule states that organizations responsible for servers must enter into an agreement with the Health Assistance Institute for DF servers (Ines) so that its employees, since then, have access to GDF Saúde.
Representative Jorge Viana (PSD) is the author of the amendment to the GDF Health bill that included officials from Iges-DF and HCB. “Nothing could be more equitable, as all GDF commissioners can join the health plan,” he said. He added that he wanted to include the servants’ parents as dependents.
Each agency that closes the health fund with Enas must pay a monthly contribution of at least 1.5% calculated on the monthly amount from the payroll. The Military Police and the Fire Department are supported by federal resources, while Iges-DF and Hospital da Crianca are financially independent. Therefore, they must pay the percentage, so as not to affect the finances of the GDF, which already pays the amount to servers directly linked to the government of the Federal District.
Ines’ president, Nei Ferraz, told the column that a 1.5% payment requirement on each organization’s payroll is necessary to maintain the health care plan’s financial position.
“It was all done with a lot of dedication and responsibility. The governor’s insistence on including professionals from Aegis and Hospital da Crianca to do justice to the workers who were also on the front line against Covid,” Ferraz said.
The law also requires the GDF to submit a job creation project for Inas to the CLDF, within 90 days. With the approval, the government will be able to hold a public competition to fill vacancies in the institute.
“We were only 25 government employees, now we can reach 117 employees, and within 90 days the IEP project will be sent to CLDF to determine the career plan, jobs and rewards for Enas employees. Soon we will be a reference for everyone,” said the head of Enas.

Personnel authorized by direct and indirect administration will be able to use the GDF Saúde as long as they maintain a link with the county government.
Membership fees for a health care plan remain the same. A public employee who wants to access the GDF Saúde must pay 4% of the gross wage and another 1% for dependents up to the age of 21.
