We have the last member of the iPhone 15 family to analyze, which is the 15 Pro. Is it just a compact version of the Max with a smaller screen and battery, or are there other differences? Let's check it out.
The iPhone 15 Pro brings few changes to the design, but its new feature is its titanium side finish, also found on the more expensive ones in the line. Despite greater durability, the new model is slightly lighter and more compact due to better frontal use with thinner edges.
The 6.1-inch screen features the same specifications as before, such as a resolution of 1179 x 2556 pixels and a 120Hz Super Retina The brightness is strong and ensures great outdoor visibility. The audio part delivers stereo sound with good power and quality.
Like the Max, this also comes with the A17 Pro chipset, which features a hexa-core processor and a more powerful GPU than the A16 Bionic on the base models. We now have 8GB of RAM to handle multitasking, but this combination didn't deliver any gains in our speed test. At least it is now possible to play some console games like Assassin's Creed or Resident Evil.
The battery has received a slight increase and now has a maximum capacity of 3274 mAh. Since the new chip is more efficient, we saw a significant increase in autonomy with an average of 24 hours of moderate use. Charging remains limited to 20W and takes an hour and a half to fully fill the battery.
The photography lineup is the same as before with a 48MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide telephoto camera. The latter is different from what we have in the Pro Max, which comes with a 5x periscope lens, while in the Pro we have a simpler lens with 3x zoom. Other than that, the shooting quality is similar between the two and the camcorder captures good videos even at night.
