“She's actually a little girl who was born and raised in a suburb of London. She has a mum and dad, and a twin sister, Mimi, who is also her best friend. She loves baking cakes and making new friends,” the director said.

Jill Cook also detailed personality traits such as weight and height, comparing:

“It weighs as much as three apples and is as long as five apples.”

In 2024, Hello Kitty will turn 50. The show also recalls that the character has a kitten named Charmy Kitty, her friend Daniel, and many other friends. In the comments on the video post showing the statement made by the Sanrio director, fans responded:

“So why is her name Hello KITTY?” one netizen asked. “Thanks for the info, unfortunately I won’t accept it,” another joked on TikTok. “The world is weird, now Hello Kitty is identified as a human girl,” another web profile commented.
